Risley Saddlery is situated in open countryside adjacent to J 25 on the M1, halfway between Derby and Nottingham right in the centre of England. We are very accessible from all parts of the country, parking is no problem and we have stables and trial paddocks.
Many old Risley farms were turned into livery yards, I was told by Peter and Sheila Matthews, who moved to Risley in 1967 when it was still very much a farming village they had a 50 cow dairy herd which they milked until 1979.In 1983, they opened a Saddlery business. Farmers were being encouraged to diversify, recalls Sheila, and as our pony-riding children were finding it difficult to get saddlery, we saw a niche in the market.

Horse Bits
Report
We stock both imported and English bits. The Availability of English bit sizes are endless. Mouthpieces start as small as 3" and can go up to 7"-8". Bit cheeks are interchangeable with various mouthpieces, giving a wider variety of bits and possibilities of control. For example; a French Link mouthpiece can be used with at least 10 varieties of cheeks.
