Having worked in the industry since I left school I wanted to expand my skills and ambitions by owning my own business, providing a service to other families, individuals, and businesses. Having worked in many different sectors of the construction industry I had seen how things like information and details had been missed on the job and wanted to create a company that could inform and guide people as well as carry out the work.
The business to me is more than just a name and a logo, McGinley's Carpentry and Construction Ltd was set up in memory of my grandad who had taught me all about tools and principles since I was a young boy. Grandad would teach me about tools and woodwork as a boy and I have fond memories of learning all about being polite and tidy and presentable at all times while cutting offcuts of timber and trying to bang a nail in without bending it over.
