Johnson's of Thirsk has been a traditional family Butchery since 1830. Under the ownership of Sarah-Jane & Andrew Trueman, both 2nd & 3rd-generation Butchers respectively, the business has broadened its offering from traditional Butcher's shop to include charcuterie, condiments and complimentary foodstuffs, as well as totally revamping the sourcing to 'buy local, sell local'.

Each person will learn how to prepare cuts of Beef, Lamb, Pork & Chicken from a skilled Master Butcher. Over the two and a half hours, Andrew & Sarah-Jane will show each learner how to prepare a series of traditional cuts of meat in our dedicated teaching room. The classes are a great way to get hands-on with some native-breed, grass-feed meat, as well as learn essential skills to cook and prep the meat at home.
