Naomi Green is the owner of both Green Park Podiatrists and also a clinic in Bristol called Footworks Podiatry clinic. Having been a Podiatrist for over 20 years, Naomi specialises in assessing and treating musculoskeletal injuries in addition to treating all aspects of general footcare including nail surgery.
Naomi has completed a Masters degree in Biomechanics at Staffordshire University, has a post-graduate certificate in Sports Podiatry and in 2013 completed a post-graduate certificate in Strength and Conditioning with a distinction. In 2011, Naomi was asked to be an expert witness and now regularly undertakes assessments for medico-legal cases.

Is it painful? Toenail surgery is a procedure performed under local anaesthetic meaning there is very little discomfort. In the case of an ingrowing toenail, a small section is removed from the side of the toenail under local anaesthetic. This is called a Partial Nail Avulsion, and a chemical called Phenol is applied which prevents the piece of nail from regrowing.
