It all began at Kennel Nutrition in Ripon where our first product, Vitalin Original, was cooked up. A few years later Vitalin Original with Gravy followed. Following the success of Vitalin Original and Vitalin Original with Gravy, we made Vitalin Royale. We are continuing with our mission to combine years of knowhow with local ingredients to ensure your dog has a tasty and nutritious diet that you can trust.

We know that feeding advice can sometimes be confusing, so we've put together some extra help and info below. When feeding your dog Vitalin for the first time or when switching from one Vitalin product to another, it's important that the change is made gradually to prevent any digestive upsets.
We recommend that this is done over 5-10 days, where you slowly decrease the amount of old food and increase the amount of new food in the dog's daily serving.The diagram below gives some more information on our suggested daily amounts. Quick note, feeding tables refer to the ideal weight for your dog's breed.

In order to help ensure that your dog maintains a healthy weight, the Pet Food Manufacturers' Association (PFMA) has developed a reference guide to body condition scoring. You should assess your dog's body condition on a monthly basis and then adjust feeding amounts if necessary. Your pet is likely to be underweight.

You can add a little warm water to our products to help release the natural aroma of the foods and make them more appealing for dogs with fussy eating habits, or make them easier to eat for older dogs that may experience problems with this. However, we would recommend feeding these products dry in order to help maintain good oral health.
