Our approach at Seasons Nursery is unique. We believe that there is no one perfect "method" (traditional or otherwise) of teaching children. All children are different, all unique, and with this in mind we have blended the most beneficial elements of traditional nursery education with the most nurturing influences from alternative theories such as Steiner and Montessori.
Choosing a childcare provider can be daunting, and we hope that whilst the website and our Facebook page will give you a flavour of what we do, we would encourage any prospective parents to give us a call and come and visit us to get a feel of the nursery and experience what we do first hand - it's certainly how we feel the children learn best!

About us
Report
Our approach at Seasons Nursery is unique. We believe that there is no one perfect "method" (traditional or otherwise) with which to teach children. All children are different, all unique, and with this in mind we have blended the most beneficial elements of traditional nursery education with nurturing influences to create the best standard of daycare in the Stroud and Stonehouse area.
Our Philosophy
Report
Our philosophy at Seasons balances the requirements of the Early Years Foundations Stage with other educational theories to create a warm, calm and nurturing environment in the Stroud and Stonehouse areas, in which children have the freedom to explore, play and learn.
The educational theories that influence our preschool learning philosophy include Steiner, Montessori, RIE, and a variety of outdoor learning theories, as well as the Early Years Foundation Stage. We believe that the outdoor space is as important as the indoor space, and therefore see the outdoor and indoor areas as one inclusive learning environment.

Our Environment
Report
Our building is a timber construction, which gives an atmosphere of calmness and softness to our environment. We have large, open rooms that afford more space than Ofsted require per child. One entire side of our building is constructed from glass to let in plenty of natural light, and this also opens up to allow easy access to the variety of outside spaces we have.
Environmental and Food Commitment
Report
At Seasons Nursery, we place great importance on the environment and encourage others to share our ethos. Because our nursery is situated in a log cabin and full of resources based on natural materials, it means we act differently, with maximum importance given to outside play and respecting the environment.
Our Staff
Report
At Seasons Nursery, we understand that choosing the right childcare provider can be difficult. All of our team at Seasons have appropriate level childcare qualifications and are fully DBS checked, in addition to being confident in planning, adapting and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.
