This is the oldest caravan site in the area. The site lies just between Cartmel and Grange over Sands and was used for caravans as early as the 1940's. Set on the side of a working farm and in open country side, it offers a quiet and relaxing retreat for all our visitors. Although there are no facilities for children they are more than welcome at High Fell Gate.
We provide fantastic accommodation for static & touring caravans as well as tents. Our facilities include a shower & toilet block which are available for visitors use along with washing facilities. High Fell Gate is just about 15 miles from the M6 motorway so easily accessible from the north or south.

We are ideally situated for visiting Cartmel, home of the famous sticky toffee pudding and Cartmel Races. Holker Hall is just over a mile away and is a much visited attraction with the hall and gardens open to visitors. This is also the venue for the Holker Holker Garden Festival. We are also just a short drive from other areas of the Lake District such as Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside.
