Amy Miller Yoga
Amy practices both the physical and philosophical side of yoga and she takes time to stay true to this ancient practice. Her classes are nurturing and relaxing; mindful, whilst always being engaging and full of life. Her clear sense of spirituality surrounds her and makes her classes a warm and welcoming space.

Teaching yoga in Dorking, my aim has always been to help people build resiliance. If you, like many people, feel like life is constantly handing you yet another plate to spin, yoga and meditation are for you; even if, especially if, you feel like you have no more extra time to fit it in.

Facial Yoga
Report
Facial yoga is a technique that uses a combination of massage, acupressure and exercises, and has a wide range of both physical and mental benefits. Targets the deep facial muscles encouraging them to lift and tighten, working as a non-surgical facelift. I run regular workshops (see 'Workshops' tab for current list) which combines the facial yoga technique with traditional restorative yoga, meditation and relaxation.
Thai Massage
Report
Rooted in the Buddist tradition, Thai Yoga massage is bodywork therapy designed to work on the mind as well as the body. Often described as the 'lazy man's yoga' the practice combines yoga stretches with accupressure to open up the physical as well as the energitic bodies. I was introdiced to Thai Yoga Massage during my teacher training, and have recently been lucky enough to work with Ralf Marzen of the MUDITA School of Thai Yoga massage.
Testimonials
Report
I have had many yoga teachers in the past, but finding Amy was amazing. Her classes are inclusive and welcoming and she makes it fun! Every time I go after thinking I might not, I'm so energised and please to have made the effort. I love Amy and I love her classes. She has something for everyone! Each class is different and within a really short period of time you realise you are progressing in flexibility, strength and balance.

Report
I am qualified to teach Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga and Yoga Rhythm - focusing on breath and alignment. The open classes are dynamic and are designed so that all levels are catered for, whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced student. The Barn at Denbies is a beautiful purpose built space led by the team at Surrey Hills Physiotherapy.
What Is The Meaning of Namaste
Report
Namaste has been used as a respectful greeting & farewell between the Hindus of South Asia and Southeast Asia for thousands of years. It is accompanied by Anjali Mudra - the hands held in prayer in front of the chest - but in these regions, the meaning of the gesture is understood and therefore is normally performed without words.
