A minor surgical procedure performed under a local anaesthetic, to remove a portion of or the entire nail plate. Usually this technique is more medical than cosmetic, as it is performed by a podiatrist who has additional training to provide this service.

At Liverpool Podiatry we have expert witness podiatrists whom are able to provide medico-legal services in all areas of podiatry. We cover areas in biomechanical, general, paediatric, injury and musculoskeletal podiatric medicine.
Surgical opinion reports

Liverpool podiatry can provide surgical opinion letters and reports upon request. Podiatrists can advise when a surgical opinion letter / report is required, and this is usually when all conservative treatment methods have been exhausted. The letter / report will outline the history of your condition and is usually sent to the GP requesting a referral for a consultation with an appropriate surgeon.
Biomechanical reports

Biomechanical assessments are carried out to examine the structure and function of the lower limb in relation to a condition or injury.
