The staff at Taylor Brothers are always happy to provide advice in relation to the size of skip that you need to hire for the job in hand*. Skip sizes are measured in "cubic yards". A cubic yard is equal to 1 yard x 1 yard x 1 yard i.e. a 4 yard skip holds 4 cubic yards of waste by volume rather than being 4 yards in length.
Permits

If you are in a Bolton Council controlled area you will be able to have a 1, 2 or 4 week permit. Although our usual skip hire period is for up to 2 weeks, a 4 week permit can be useful where you expect to have a number of skip exchanges on the same site as the permit relates to the site regardless of how many times the skip is exchanged.

A: Yes, however you will need to pay for a permit to be issued by the local council that will incur a small additional charge. Don't worry though as we will arrange this on your behalf. Further information is available on our Permits page. If the skip is to be placed in a controlled parking zone (i.e. on a single yellow line or in a residents parking or pay & display bay), you will also need a parking suspension.

The maximum hire period is 2 weeks. Extensions may be arranged at the discretion of Mayhurst Bolton Limited t/as Taylor Brothers Skip Hire ("the Company") at the time of booking. If you as the customer ("the Hirer") later wish to extend the period of hire beyond 2 weeks, you must contact the Company to make arrangements before the end of the hire period.

The grab wagon is ideal for removing large loads of heavy building materials and delivering aggregates to site. Waste types must be kept separate and need to be piled up ready with sufficient access room for the wagon to be able to pull up as our cranes are mounted behind the cab and extend to the side of the truck.
