About Us
Report
The project was completed in 1996. There are up to 425 children at the school aged between 4+ and 11. There are 14 classes with two classes for each of the seven year groups between Reception and Year 6. The school is popular and we take pride in our good reputation. This has been achieved by ensuring a strong liaison between three essential elements of the school: teachers - children - parents.
Our History
Report
The School was founded, as Holland Road Board School in 1902. It was to be an all-standard establishment, accommodating up to 360 mixed (senior and junior) pupils and 200 infants, in purpose-built premises on a site in Holland Road. At the time of the school's opening the new buildings were unfinished, and it was temporarily housed in Clacton Town Hall until they were completed.
School Ethos
Report
At Holland Park School we are proud to acknowledge that the Governing Body of Holland Park School aims to provide for both children and staff an environment in which all individuals are valued and which demonstrates the importance of wholeness and quality of life. Every Learner will receive the encouragement to work and the opportunity to achieve their potential in their development, in a safe, caring, healthy and happy environment.
Parent Council
Report
Each year group has at least one Parent Rep who is usually present in the playground each morning and afternoon for parents and carers to approach and offer their feedback and ideas. The Parent Council work alongside staff to review policies, make improvements and offer support.

The Parent Council have updated uniform, worked with the children to encourage keeping fit and healthy and encourage walking to school, met with the School Council students to discuss new initiatives and improvements to our school, attended multi school council meetings at Market Field and worked with a Councillor and local residents to improve safer parking around our school.
Student Council
Report
Meetings will be held on a monthly basis with Class Reps having previously asked their peers for their ideas, suggestions and feedback. If you or your child have a suggestion or query then please put it to the Class Rep for them to raise at the next meeting. Our previous School Council implemented a number of changes, including: uniform adjustments, Golden Time activities, lunchtime improvements and introduced Prefects and Head Girls/Boys.
