A family run business based in the heart of Dronfield Woodhouse, here at Lorraine Bonete Opticians we take pride in our family values and high levels of customer service. Our practice has lots on offer with a huge range of frames and sunglasses for both adults and children. Our eye tests have always been in-depth allowing us to see more than just surface issues and lets us give the top class advice that you should expect from your optician.
Eye Tests
Having your eyes examined regularly is important not only to ensure that you are seeing clearly and comfortably, but also to check the health of your eyes. An eye examination can not only pick up eye conditions such as cataracts or glaucoma, but sometimes general health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes or high cholesterol, which can affect the eyes.
Children’s Vision
It is important that children have their eyes tested regularly because as they grow their eyes can alter and children do not always appreciate that they are not seeing as clearly as they should be. Children are entitled to a free NHS sight test, help towards the cost of any glasses via a NHS voucher and help for the cost of any repairs with a NHS repair voucher.
Eyewear
We stock a wide range of frames, from designer frames such as Longchamp, Calvin Klein and Land Rover to a budget range. We are very happy to spend time with you to choose a frame which you like and which will fit well. If we don't have a frame in stock that suits we will order other frames in for you to look at.
Contact Lenses
We are able to correct almost any prescription and many people can now enjoy the convenience of good vision without glasses. A lot of people chose to wear contact lenses on an occasional basis, perhaps for sport or when on a night out. For this a daily lens, which is worn once and then thrown away, is often ideal.

When it comes to protecting your eyes from the sun and looking good into the bargain, look no further than our range of prescription sunglasses. We often have offers on sunglasses when you purchase a normal pair of prescription glasses. It is important that the tint on the sunglasses is of a good quality to provide the protection that the eyes need.
