Thanks to a breakthrough in technology, Benjamin Opticians can now test your vision to the highest accuracy of 0.01D, rather than the previous 0.25D. Using AVA technology we can manufacture your lenses to your exact prescription - not as before, to a rounded prescription close to your measured power.
OCT, or Ocular Coherence Tomography, is new technology which helps your optician diagnose potential problems with your eyes. Using OCT, your Optician at Benjamins can see beneath the surface of the back of your eyes where problems may manifest - sometimes years before they surface - it's only then that problems may show up with a traditional photograph of the back of your eyes.

I have needed glasses and contact lenses for over 40 years and can honestly say Benjamin's are the best opticians I have ever used.
They gave me immediate, professional support and advice when I suffered a sudden change in my eyesight recently, with state-of-the-art scanning equipment.
It's easy to think local optician will be more expensive than the bigger chains, but nothing could be further from the truth. They have a great line of frames and give excellent advice without 'selling at you'. I would recommend Benjamin's without hesitation.

Optician was very good, but from then on the service has been very very poor 51 days down the line and I still am without my glasses, I have sent an email but as yet had no reply, keep having to chase the opticians about when my glasses will b ready, I have now requested for the money I have paid to be refunded. Issues were immediately rectified once Liz was aware of the situation and went out of her way to resolve all my issues fantastic service.

I make a round trip of 60 miles to visit this optician for my annual check. The reason: if you really need new glasses, they tell you. If you don't, they'll tell you that you don't and won't try to sell you new products. The administration is good and they stick to their promised timelines and do what they say they will do.

I have been using Benjamins for over 20 years now. The care is exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the staff. They are all polite and go out of their way to help. Recent eye problems have meant I have been visiting more than usual but they have really helped sort out my problems with ease. Highly recommended.
