Nursery Travel
Report
The nursery is situated on a key bus route. The major walkway routes to and from the nursery are generally well maintained, lit and signed, and provide an easy means of travel for local parents and carers. The nursery has secure storage facilities for light buggies only and a limited number of bicycles.
Our Nursery

Our Shoreham nursery is set in a former Victorian police station. The nursery offers a warm and nurturing home from home feel with outstanding outdoor play spaces and a wide range of age appropriate resources. A dedicated baby room is a feature of the nursery which ensures that our youngest children are given the very best start to nursery life.
Keyperson
Report
We operate a Key Person system which ensures that your child is consistently cared for by the same member of staff. As much as possible, your child will be fed and have nappy changes with the same person and have play and social interaction with them throughout the day. We understand that young babies in particular need to develop a strong bond with their carer in order to feel secure.
Starting at Sunshine
Report
Once you have registered with us, we are happy for you and your child to attend as many settling-in sessions as required prior to their start date at nursery. We recommend that you attend at least three sessions, but we often find that very young children require more than this in order for feel safe and secure at nursery.
Food and Drinks
Report
We understand that as parents of young children you will know best what your child will enjoy eating at nursery. At Sunshine Day Nursery, we emphasise the importance of a healthy diet and exercise and we provide healthy snacks, water and ordinary milk. We ask that you provide ready made bottles of formula milk and meals for the day.
