Explore Broads Heritage at Museum of the Broads
We are an independent charitable trust dedicated to preserving and showcasing the rich heritage of the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads. Our museum brings the stories of this unique landscape to life through immersive exhibits, historic boat collections, and educational programs. As a volunteer-led institution, we rely on visitor support and donations to maintain our operations and expand our offerings. We offer year-round access to our exhibits, seasonal boat trips on both steam and electric launches, and family-friendly activities designed to engage all ages.

Our commitment to accessibility includes free entry for young children, discounted rates for groups, and special provisions for carers and disabled visitors. Through partnerships with local businesses like Richardson's Boating Holidays, we promote community engagement and environmental stewardship of the Broads National Park.

The museum was ok, be sure to book your boat visit the day before as these book up fast. Unfortunately, staff let it down on the day. If you're giving out sweets to children for them to pick themselves don't moan at them for moving one because of covid when they have a food allergies . Maybe ask what one they would like. Even if I'd taken myself it would have meant moving other sweets. We didn't return for the boat trip so can't review that.
