You can stand at the bar! Whilst we're excited to be able to allow customers to sit at the bar, we do ask that the area doesn't become over crowded. We will be continuing to serve drinks in plastic glasses however food will now be served on proper plates, with real cutlery. Ordering food & drinks for outdoor dining.
When the sun is shining & on busy days a member of the team will continue to take food & drink orders from the garden. However, you are more than welcome to pop into the pub and order your food at the bar. Cutlery stations are provided both in the pub and out in the garden. Pete, Jane and their friendly staff work together to make your visit happy, relaxed & hopefully feeling like you've made new friends. On entering The Windmill you can expect a comfy, quirky laid back interior. From saggy leather sofas to new and reclaimed tables and chairs with a roaring fire to welcome you in the winter months.

Cheshire Ale is what we are about, but, on occasions dip our toes into the Peaks for a quick sample as amazing microbreweries are popping up everywhere. Pete, the landlord, is our chief taster and hasn't complained about an ale yet!
