My name is Mary and I am a dog groomer and pet carer - welcome to my Woof, Woof, meow wonderful world of Cat & Dog Grooming! Ever since I can remember I have had a love for animals. One of my earliest memories is one of cuddling up to my Great Dane, Mandy, when I was very young and playing with our cats.
My mother was a great guiding influence. She had a big heart for all animals and there always seemed to be a new member to our animal family. It was my mother who taught me to love and respect all animals and how to look after their needs. Well you may say to yourself that sounds nice, but why should I bring my precious cat or dog to Poochy Woochy to be groomed?

Grooming Facilities
Report
This is a photo of my grooming room, built to my own design to help all my dog and cat visitors to be happy, comfortable and relaxed here at Poochy Woochy. I also only have one-to-one appointments, so no dogs are left in cages waiting to be groomed or to be collected by their mums or dads. This also enables me to give each visitor 100% of my attention.
Pet Sitting
Report
Do you wish to go away on holiday, but are worried about leaving your pets? If so, then our pet sitting service may just be the ideal solution for you! We can visit your home and ensure that your pets are fed, watered and toileted. Any changing of litter trays or the cleaning out of cages would also be taken care of and the cat let in/out if required.
Dog Behaviour
Report
Well the answer is simple. First I decided to study dog behaviourism to help dogs when they were being groomed. As I have found sometimes dogs can have had bad grooming experiences in the past which makes it very difficult to groom them afterward because they have learned to fear being groomed.
My training and experience has enabled me to understanding dogs and to calm them, help overcome their fears and build their confidence hopefully to enjoy being groomed.I then later decided to go further into dog behaviourism and the understanding of dog's needs. This enabled me to help customers who were asking me if I knew how to help them with varying issues.

FAQs

A. In my experience it is far better, safer, more relaxed and calm if the customer lets me groom their pet without them there. This enables me to bond with their pet, give 100% attention to the groom without any distractions and makes it an all-around more positive experience for pet and owner. As sometimes it can be stressful taking your beloved cat or dog to the groomers.
