Thank you for visiting my website I am Worcestershire based photographer John Colson and I provide elegant and natural documentary style wedding photography throughout Worcestershire, Birmingham and the West Midlands. I have been photographing weddings for a good number of years now. My Images are intended to record your day in a refined and elegant documentary based style.
I don't try to force things to happen - it's your special day after all and beautiful moments will occur of their own accord. I don't look to overly pose people or create images that don't feel natural. I don't go to every event with a list of the same images that I take every time. Every day is unique and I want your photographs to be just that.

I'm very lucky to live on the borders of the gorgeous Wyre Forest in Worcestershire, so it would be quite easy for me to stay put in my local area, but I adore travelling. Yes, where possible I consider it absolutely essential that we meet before the wedding day. Obviously it may not be geographically possible to meet on occasion (this is especially relevant to destination weddings).

I'm super happy to offer Family Photoshoots. None of that stuffy stand in front of a white background in your Sunday best and grin type nonsense. Lets go for a stroll in a local park and take some photos that actually mean something. Well now you can! I've been all sorts of clever and set up an online 'egiftcard' store.
