The East Dereham Day Nursery is a thriving, warm, friendly and welcoming nursery located in the heart of Dereham. We have been operating our nursery for over 30 years and our Ofsted report reflects the high quality of child care offer. Throughout our environment, we have created lots of invitations for learning using a wide variety of natural resources to create lots of magical moments for your precious children.

At the East Dereham Day Nursery, many of us are parents ourselves and we fully understand the importance of creating a calm, comfortable yet stimulating environment for the precious babies in our care. Numbers are kept purposely low in order to allow a more relaxed baby focused room, experience shows that where numbers are higher this can sometimes prove unsettling for them.
Sunshine

From the age of 22 months to approx 3 years, children join our Sunshine nursery. Our toddlers are supported in their learning and development by knowledgeable, caring and respectful practitioners who understand their growing needs and developing independence.
They have lots of space to explore, develop their interests and develop their skills in the company of their friends as well as visits to the local community such as the post office and local markets.Through continuous provision, the room has been carefully designed to allow the children to freely access a wide variety of resources which aim to promote their imagination.

Rainbow

3 years and upwards your child will start in Rainbow, our pre-school rooms. These are important rooms for developing and promoting school readiness. There is an emphasis on discovery and learning and having the perfect environment and carefully placed resources will give the children all the support they need to develop in all areas and to gain the independence they will need ready for school.
Before, After School and Holiday Club

Our Breakfast Club is open from 7.30am with breakfast being served at 7.45am. Children are provided with a variety of cereals and/or toast breakfast, accompanied by a drink. During Breakfast Club there will be different games to play and some much-needed chill out time before school. Our vehicles arrive to transport the children to school and depart at 8.25am prompt.
Outside Play

Children of all ages love to be outdoors whatever the weather, indeed outdoor learning provides the children with the potential to learn in a different way - it can be more physical, faster louder and bigger! The nature of the ever-changing outdoor environment also helps children to develop their problem solving and thinking skills.
