We offer weekly dance lessons for all ages and abilities, from children through to professionals, with as many adult classes as children's, in a range of dance styles. We want everyone to dance - and we often go into communities to give them the chance to work with us offering a wide range of dance workshops.
Hype Dance has a proven track record of training young people to secure places at vocational dance schools such as Tring College, Bird College, Urdang, Northern Ballet School, SLP, National Youth Ballet & more. Since 2006, Hype Dance have worked with professional performers and creatives to produce dance theatre.

We aim to provide opportunities for all to realise their creative potential through dance. We are committed to being friendly, welcoming, inspiring and inclusive in everything we do, and work hard to create a sense of community within our academy, and the people we work with.
Hype Dance Company was established in 2004 with the aim of bringing dance to as many people as possible, in as many ways as possible through lessons, workshops and performances.This remains true to this day, and over the years we have strengthened our experience, and place as one of Yorkshire's only independent training and performance arts organisations, with an excellent reputation and strong industry connections.

Over the years we've managed to build up a fantastic team of professional dance tutors, who all bring something different and unique to Hype Dance. They are all experienced professionals, fully qualified in the discipline that they teach for us, fully insured and above all, are warm, welcoming and friendly!

We want everyone to dance, and we often go into communities to give them the chance to work with us. Everybody can dance with our expert dance tutors and our accepting workshops. We have delivered work with Dementia and Parkinson's groups, pupil referral units, at risk young people's groups, primary schools for curriculum enhancement, birthday parties, weddings, companies for team-building days, and many more.

We offer weekly dance lessons for all ages and abilities - from children through to professionals, with as many adult classes as children's. All tutors are experts in their dance genres and are overseen by Anna, Hype's Artistic Director. Although they work a Hype Dance curriculum she has devised, tutors have creative freedom to bring their own personalities into their classes.

You can join these classes at any time, just head on over to our online portal to book and pay for your class in advance. Please get in touch with us before attending any of the IDTA exam based classes so that we can make sure your child attends the appropriate class. You can trial the IDTA classes before committing to a full term to make sure the classes are suitable.
