Routine eye examinations are vitally important regardless of your age or your physical health. During a comprehensive eye exam, your optometrist does more than just determine your prescription for spectacles or contact lenses.
Retina Photography

At Denham Opticians we have invested in a state of the art Retinal Camera, called the DRS, it allows us to instantaneously image the Retina located at the back of the eye. It's the new frontier of non-mydriatic, digital retinal imaging. In other words, we do not need to put any drops into the patient's eyes yet are still able to obtain fantastic photographs.
Examinations PVT and NHS
Report
A private examination costs 30 which includes a retinal scan (see section on retinal photography for more details). We process all the paper work ourselves and would not require anything else from the patient other than the proof of entitlement. We would then be reimbursed by the NHS, so no money between us and the customer would need to take place with respect to the examination.
