Used a Groupon voucher today for an afternoon tea plus Bucks Fizz. We had a wonderful welcome and staff were very friendly and polite. We were given a variety of savouries and cakes with two pots of lovely coffee and the Bucks fizz to finish. We were not rushed at any time and were asked a few times if everything was ok. Very good value for money and if the offer was on next year I would have no hesitation in going again.

Lovely place for a meal. Staff are very attentive. We had Sunday roast, the vegetables were done to perfection but the meat was awful.

A family wedding brought us to this Hotel. We loved it! The wedding was very well organised, the food excellent. The cost of the room were extremely reasonable, so we booked a suite! We will be staying again.

This could have easily have been a 5 star. The lady on reception when checking in was very helpful and friendly like all the other staff in the bar and restaurant. The lady on reception when checking out though was very unhelpful. We asked about the Air con in the rooms that we paid for and that there was no controller to turn it on she was so unhelpful this slightly took the edge off an excellent stay apart from that. Shame after everyone else was so helpful and friendly.

Very interesting establishment steeped in history and atmosphere. A 100 ft deep well in the reception area, revealed many historic artefacts which illustrated the time line of the original farmstead. All the staff were very courteous and friendly and helpful, going the extra effort to make our visit individual and personal. The afternoons teas were very high quality and plentiful,too much for a single sitting. "Doggy bags" were provided!! Our visit was very enjoyable and would recommend others to visit to savour the experience for them selves.

I loved being there from the first moment after arrival. Excellent very professional service, beautiful room, perfect breakfast. Amazing view and location. Thank you very much, you are fantastic!
