At Dowleys, all used cars come with a 3 month/3000 mile warranty, which can be extended to 2 years. We operate a "pressure-free-zone" in our showroom, we don't force anyone into buying a car.

Founded in 1979 by Arthur and Millie Dowley, we celebrated our 40th anniversary in 2019. Originally, Dowleys was solely a workshop business with a garage on Alvescot Road that handled servicing, MOTs and repairs. We decided to relocate just down the road to our current premises on Norton Way and expand the business the include used car sales alongside our workshop business.

We are an independent Isuzu specialist, our Technicians are Isuzu Master Tech trained, with many years experience and knowledge of the Isuzu brand. Our Workshop is stocked with all the latest software necessary to maintain your Isuzu to the highest standard. We offer all servicing in line with the Manufacturer's recommended schedules, which conforms with the necessary requirements to meet the Isuzu warranty criteria.

Our state-of-the-art workshop is equipped with the latest diagnostic technology and tools to ensure your vehicle receives the best treatment. We are proud members of the Trust My Garage Scheme from the RMI (Retail Motor Industry) and as such, must comply with their strict code of practice.

We aim to get your vehicle through its MOT as quickly as possible. We provide tests by appointment only, but you are welcome to use or waiting area while enjoying a coffee and taking is some news. If in the unfortunate circumstances your vehicle fails to pass one of the MOT tests, we will aim to fix it the same day (provided the parts are available) and we are very well equipped to deal with a whole range of repairs your test may indentify.

The GB MOT was established in 1960. M.O.T. stands for Ministry Of Transport. The MOT scheme is a road safety measure designed to ensure that all cars, motorcycles and light goods vehicles more than 3 years old are properly maintained. A European-wide version of the MOT based upon the then Member States' minimum requirements was introduced in 1996 (1996/96/EC).
