The Red Lion is a traditional country pub in a quiet location in Freshwater on the Isle of Wight. The bar is comfortably furnished and you won't be deafened by music and the log fire burns peacefully throughout the winter. The Isle of Wight countryside around the pub is amongst the finest in the country and is a haven for walkers, golfers and those who like to take a step back in time.
The Red Lion is the ideal venue for a traditional ale, a glass of wine or a meal from our blackboard menu which changes daily. We are open 11:00 to 23:00 Monday to Saturday, and 11:00 to 22:30 Sundays. Food is served 12:00 to 3:00 and 18:00 to 20.30 daily.

We have won Isle of Wight Dining Pub of the Year on three separate occasions. We provide good beer and fine wines to accompany the very best local fish, meat and vegetables. We have an extensive herb garden ensuring all ingredients are as fresh as can be. The pub kitchens are open 7 days a week for both lunch (12 noon to 2:30pm) and dinner (6pm to 9pm) and well behaved dogs are welcome.
