Established in 1963, Ascot and Cranbourne Pre-school has been a cornerstone of early childhood education for local families for over six decades. Our Ofsted-rated 'OUTSTANDING' status, awarded for the third consecutive time in 2021, reflects our unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds in a safe, stimulating environment. Led by Mrs. Hannah Myatt, a former primary school teacher with 20 years of leadership experience, our team of qualified practitioners undergoes regular training and DBS checks every three years to ensure the highest standards of care. Set within the serene grounds of Cranbourne Primary School, our facility combines indoor and outdoor spaces designed to foster social, physical, and intellectual development through creative play. Our curriculum aligns with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework, prioritising individualised learning while encouraging peer interaction and self-confidence. We maintain a 1:8 staff-to-child ratio for over-3s and 1:4 for 2-3-year-olds, ensuring personalised attention. As a registered charity (number 280438), we actively engage parents as partners in their child's development, offering termly open afternoons and progress updates. Our inclusive approach accommodates children with special educational needs, supported by a dedicated Inclusion Officer. A hidden gem!
Ascot & Cranbourne Pre-School is a lovely, well-run pre-school that offers fun, engaging learning and play. Many people mistakenly think that the pre-school is a feeder to the main school (Cranbourne) because it is located on the same site. Although a lot of children from the pre-school do go on to attend Cranbourne Primary School, many also go on to attend neighbouring primary schools, and the pre-school is actually a charity run independently from Cranbourne Primary School. Also being a charity I think that may be why its fees are cheaper than other pre-schools so a bonus to parents
