Anyone keen on puzzles may like to ponder the following - what have Neil Armstrong (the first man on the moon), the pop band Genesis, and a model of a football stadium in common? The company was founded by David William Fox in 1969 when he was 18.
He was fortunate to be able to call on the advice of his father, Alexander Ballantyne Fox who had his own personal experience of the haulage industry, having worked for R Rankin & Son and Cleveland Tankers.In the early days, David Fox worked alone, operating a van hire business and undertaking emergency express deliveries.

In cab telephones have been installed in our vehicles for over 30 years and provide a vital link should there be any delays, or changes in collection / delivery instructions.

Maintenance facilities are provided at our Middlesbrough Workshop, which is fully equipped with inspecton pits / brake roller testing and hydraulic lifting equipment. Vehicles and trailers are inspected and repaired by our skilled technicians, in a facility which operates around the clock - 24 hours.
Amc System

A number of our trucks have been fitted with the AMC System in addition to the factory fitted roof spoilers and we aim to fit the system to our entire fleet. This allows the spoiler position to be easily set to match the height of the trailer for the majority of loads, meaning that maximum fuel economy can now be achieved for every trip and every trailer.

Our depot's Dynamic Weighbridge checks axle weights, while all drivers can be contacted on in-cabin phones so customers can check on or change deliveries.
