Biomechanics helps us to effectively diagnose the cause of an overuse injury or musculo-skeletal pain. In most cases the site of your pain is far removed from the site of the cause of the pain. It is our job to unravel this puzzle so that your treatment will be effective. Treatments may include exercises, orthoses, injection therapy, shock wave therapy, dry needling, and foot mobilisations.

Our medical pedicure and sort out most common conditions like corns and hard skin in one visit - making your feet look and feel great again. We can treat and advise on most problems found on the feet, including ingrown nails and verrucas. During your visit we will advise on your footwear and any other leg or foot issue you may have.

For over 30 years, at Active Life Podiatry we have been caring for you in the Fulham, Kensington and Putney areas. We aim to offer services of the highest standard to treat many types of foot and lower leg problems that range from complex biomechanical issues, to common skin complaints.

For any given foot or foot related problem, we will first make a diagnosis, (unless already determined by another specialist) then understand why the problem occurred in the first instance or has not resolved itself.Using our expertise and our wide range of podiatric assessments and treatments, we aim effectively manage a variety of lower limb conditions for children and adults - however active you may be.

By analysing the way people move their legs and feet in walking, running or where possible, their chosen sport, we can advise them on footwear, orthoses, strength, flexibility, form and technique. We use state of the art video and pressure plate equipment to accurately analyse and then improve form and function.

Our expertise as podiatrists and sports specialists at ALP we analyse running form to identify poor or incorrect technique. Although there is some debate and controversy about running technique, having studied the subject at Masters level we offer advice that is evidence based and effective.

Many specialists consider good running technique vital for athletes wishing to improve their running times; be it from running more effectively or from preventing recurrent injury which can blight any training programme.We will analyse your technique and offer advice on mistakes and how to correct them.

Many sports involve running and the wearing of sports shoes - both areas where we have excellent knowledge and experience. The foot and leg must be strong and flexible.
