Lauren completed her two year legal traineeship in Glasgow and Edinburgh with Maclay Murray and Spens LLP (now Dentons). She is from Kirkcaldy, attended Kirkcaldy West Primary and Balwearie High School and obtained her Law Degree and Diploma in legal practice both at Dundee University. Lauren has an interest in commercial property and has acted for both landlord and tenant during all stages of commercial leases.

The FHF offers first-time buyers in Scotland an interest free loan of up to 25,000 for their deposit. The pilot of the FHF has been a huge success and most of our first-time buyer clients have utilised the scheme. We are glad to hear that the Scottish Government intend to reopen the applications again early 2021 for home purchaes due to complete during the 2021/22 financial year.

We have been asked by many clients if these changes will cover their transactions. In layman's terms the 'effective date' for a standard house sale/purchase is the date of settlement/entry that is the date the purchase price is paid by the buyer in exchange for your keys / the signed Disposition (document transferring title).
