Primary Curriculum
Our broad curriculum exceeds National Curriculum requirements while embedding Christian values. Pupils develop literacy, numeracy, and scientific understanding alongside creative arts and digital literacy. The program prepares children for secondary education through progressive skill development in a supportive environment.
Forest School
Regular outdoor learning sessions utilise our exceptional natural environment for experiential education. Children engage in practical activities that develop resilience, teamwork, and environmental awareness while linking to classroom learning objectives across multiple subjects.
After School Clubs
Weekly clubs including Go Girls! Football, Forest School sessions, and Strikers Football develop physical skills and personal confidence. These programs operate across all key stages with age-appropriate activities that complement our SHOUTOUT driver for self-expression.
Safeguarding Program
Comprehensive safeguarding measures include trained DSL/DDSL staff, Operation Encompass partnership, and annual statutory training. We maintain open communication channels for concerns while following Kirklees-mandated procedures and documentation standards.
SEN Support
Tailored educational plans and dedicated resources support children with special educational needs. Our SENCO works closely with parents and external agencies to ensure appropriate accommodations while maintaining inclusion within mainstream classes.

I moved here from Northern Ireland 12 years ago and viewed all 3 Primary Schools in the local area. We decided we would like our children to attend this school because of the wonderful family feel it had as soon as we walked through the door. The staff work amazingly as a team and the relationships they have with the children is clearly evident. The values taught here are what every child needs, to be the best they can be. 3 of my children have thoroughly enjoyed their time here and now attend High school... 2 still currently attend and are growing in confidence daily. Alex is currently in Yr 3 at this school and every one of his school years have been happy. Our personal experience of this school and their staff has been a very pleasant one. The only negatives I have ever encountered are concerning children with additional needs.
Friends who have children attending with additional needs (both high functioning and special needs) have related stories about the school being reluctant to chase extra resources and that the Sen provision is inconsistent. I have never encountered this myself though and I must say that the school is very strong on positive reinforcement
