We undertake Residential, Commercial and Industrial Roofing and are also Heritage Approved by the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. We also offer Roof maintenance programmes.
Our employees are specifically trained within their trade and we are approved installers to all the market-leading waterproofing membranes. Our work is fully compliant with the latest building regulations and we have an extensive knowledge of issues associated with roofing. As Members of the National Federation of Roofing Contractors we are now classified as a Competent Roofer.

Competent Roofer

When 50% or more of a roof is being replaced the Building Regulations require the insulation to be upgraded to meet with current standard; which is currently a minimum of 270mm. It is also necessary to be notify your Local Building Control Office at least 48hours before work commences.
To avoid the need for Building Control to be involved, which can incur extra costs and elongate the process, we have joined the government authorised Competent Roofer scheme.This allows professional roofing contractors throughout England and Wales to self certify their own work and is spot checked by inspectors from Competent Roofer to ensure works comply with Building Regulations.

Richard Soan Roofing Services continues to achieve the Gold Standard for Health & Safety accreditation from the National Federation of Roofing Contractors. To put this award into context there are 1090 NFRC members nationally and only 80 have received Gold status. In the London Southern Counties region we have 424 members of which only 27 obtained the Gold award.
