Trusted Child Care Services in Woolwich, London
The Under 5s Project has been dedicated to nurturing children under five and their families since 1985. Established initially as creches and parent/toddler groups, we transitioned into an Ofsted-registered nursery in 2003, specialising in supporting children with developmental delays, special educational needs, and families requiring additional assistance. Governed by a parent-led management committee, our mission is to promote holistic well-being and enhance children's life prospects through tailored interventions and partnerships with external agencies. Our two nurseries in WoolwichSt. Mary's Church (since 1985) and Woolwich Common (since 2022)provide a home-like environment where experienced practitioners foster positive relationships and play-based learning.

We adhere to the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, ensuring each child's unique potential is nurtured through age-appropriate activities. Our commitment to early intervention has earned recognition, including the News of the World School Champion award in 2003. Under the leadership of Manager Sarah Carr since 2016, we continue to prioritise open communication with parents, offering flexible scheduling and a daily healthy eating programme. Our team of professional, caring staff ensures every child feels respected, confident, and prepared for future education, embodying our ethos of 'CHILDREN FIRST'.
