This is why we focus largely on custom build projects as well as bespoke wheel building. We host 2 weekly shop rides every Tuesday night and Sunday morning. These are very social and include a pub/cafe stop with an average pace of around 15mph. We also put on a number of one off rides including your winter solstice night ride to Stonehenge!

Since first opening our doors to the cyclists of Southsea back in late 2012 we have developed a strong reputation for custom build bike projects, wheel building, servicing and fixing the unfixable. By the end of 2014 we had outgrown our original premises and took the opportunity to expand.
This has allowed us to create a welcoming and relaxing environment for our customers where we can talk through your latest project over a coffee or hang out after a ride.Despite having a love of steel and vintage frames we wanted our shop to welcome all types of riders from seafront cruisers to club racers, trail rippers to world tourers.

Meet the team
Report
Experienced mechanic and wheel builder with a background in mechanical and electrical engineering. Loves to get creative and fix the unfixable. Has a passion for the off road and can be found riding and exploring the beaches and trails along the south coast when not in the workshop. Completed the 2nd Torino-Nice Rally as part of team bikeUlike and is already planning his next adventure.

A mini service where we check the road worthy condition of your bike for rider/parent piece of mind. Wheels checked for wear and damage, bearings checked for play and free movement, spokes tensioned and wheels trued. Wheel Building

Here at Bike U Like we specialize in hand built wheels for any type of bike. We can build a modern hub dynamo into a 1950's rim or build that classic 1970's hub you found at the back of the shed into a modern rim. We build super tough touring and audax wheels, wide fat bike and the latest plus sized mountain bike wheels and of course super lightweight summer road race wheels.
