Six Brunton Place

We occupy a Georgian townhouse that was designed by William Playfair and built in 1825, giving our property a rich historical foundation. Our house has been carefully restored to retain its original marble fireplaces, ornate cornices and a magnificent cantilevered stone staircase. We have decorated each of our four guest rooms in a distinct authentic Georgian colour scheme, complemented by contemporary lighting and a blend of traditional and modern furnishings. We provide modern comforts throughout, including broadband Wi-Fi, smart televisions and en-suite bathrooms in every room. Our flexible Garden Room can be adapted to accommodate up to three guests, offering additional space for families or small groups. We draw on the legacy of former resident Frederick James Ritchie, a celebrated clock-maker who lived here for over forty years and was a friend of Alexander Graham Bell.

We let this heritage inform our attention to detail and our commitment to preserving the character of the building while delivering contemporary hospitality. We received a 9.5 Recognition of Excellence award in 2022, reflecting our consistent standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
