About Us
We are independent, family-run optometrists in East Lothian with practices in Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Tranent and Haddington. Founded nearly 30 years ago by Brian and Karen Montgomery, Montgomery Optometrists are Scotland's largest independent group of Kodak Lens Vision Centres. Our Team
You'll find our teams in Musselburgh, Prestonpans, Tranent and Haddington welcoming and very friendly. Our stores use the most uptodate technology as well as providing the latest designer brands. Our experienced team can offer you a large selection of technologically advanced glasses, contact lenses, sport sunglasses and eye wear, whatever your age.
Eye Care
At Montgomery Optometrists we provide a thorough eye examination with tests to assess the health of your eyes before issuing your spectacle prescription. As optometrists, in addition to a full eye examination, we provide you with the most modern opticians' services to help you take care of your eyes and make the most of your vision.
OCT Scan – 3D Retina Scanner
Montgomery Optometrists have recently invested in revolutionary equipment for retina scans that can detect key eye conditions during a routine eye test. Serious conditions such as glaucoma, age related macular degeneration (AMD) and diabetic retinopathy can be ruled out or identified in their early stages.
Visual Stress and Dyslexia
You have difficulty with tracking across the page and lose the place when switching lines?. If you think you suffer from any or all of the above symptoms, you may benefit from a visual stress analysis and overlay assessment. Following an eye examination, if required, we will measure the visual systems ability to hold focus and track movements.
Corporate Eyecare
Safety spectacles for a full range of occupations from impact protection to chemical spillage protection. Health & Safety Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Regulations were introduced in 1992 to protect the eye health of all employees who use Visual Display Units (VDUs) such as computers and laptops.
