We're a friendly pre-school for children aged 2-4 years, situated at the heart of the local community since 1974. Our indoor and outdoor spaces provide the perfect environment for your child's personal development, allowing them to develop confidence, social skills and independence within a supportive, friendly and welcoming setting.
If you ask my daughter what the best part of her week was she would answer FOREST SCHOOL! She loved learning new skills, exploring the woods, building insect houses, playing outside with her friends. The enthusiasm from the Forest School staff is second to none. My children have always had wild little souls and so forest school appeals to them in all ways.

Hi, I'm Lisa I've been working at Chaldon Preschool since my own children left 15 years ago, how time flies! During that time, I have loved working alongside some fantastic staff who have also been at the Preschool for many years. We're extremely passionate about our jobs, which is why many of us have remained together for so long.

Welcome to Chaldon Pre-School and thank you for choosing us to help your children begin their development. As part of your child's attendance at the Pre School we would like to invite you to become a member of the committee at Pre-School. The role of the committee is wide and varied and we feel it is vitally important that all parents take an active role in what goes on at Pre-School.
Our Fees
Report
We are in receipt of nursery education funding for three and four year olds where funding is not received, then fees apply. We offer Free Early Education for Two Year Olds subject to qualifying criteria. Fees are non-refundable should a child be absent for a short period of time. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time please talk to Sarah Shoebridge (Committee Chairperson), or Lyndsay Smith (Manager).

We're enormously proud of our Forest School - our outdoor areas and rural surroundings make for the perfect woodland setting for your little adventurers! The philosophy of Forest Schools is to encourage and inspire individuals of any age through positive outdoor experiences.
By participating in engaging, motivating and achievable tasks and activities in a woodland environment each participant has an opportunity to develop intrinsic motivation, sound emotional and social skills.These, through self awareness can be developed to reach personal potential. Children need time to thoroughly explore their thoughts, feelings and relationships.
