We provide both NHS and private eye care in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Our comprehensive eye examinations make use of all the latest technology, whilst making sure we give each patient the time and care they deserve.

Services
Eye Examinations
Our appointment times are a minimum of 30 minutes, as we like to give our patients the time to talk to our optometrists and to fully discuss the results of their sight test. Our comprehensive eye examinations include retinal photography, visual fields screening and internal eye pressure readings if required.
Frames
We are passionate about eyewear and as an independent optician we're able to hand select our favourite pieces from the latest ranges. Our friendly team has extensive product knowledge and is trained to select the best fitting frames to compliment your face shape, image and lifestyle. Being an independent practice we are able to provide you with the best lens for your prescription and requirements.
Contact Lenses
There is a huge range of contact lenses available these days and almost everyone can wear them! Even if you have found contact lenses unsuccessful in the past we often find you just need a little more time and effort. We offer contact lens checks and supply lenses on a 'pay as you go' system, or a direct debit scheme on our Eyeplan Contacts.
Children
Although most children have excellent sight, for those who don't, it's important that we pick it up early. Your child won't always tell you if there's a problem so it's important to get their vision checked, even if you don't have any concerns. Lots of people are under the impression their youngster can't have their eyes tested until they're able to read; this is a myth!

At Raison Opticians we offer the latest in eye scanning. The Optical Coherence Tomographer (OCT), photographs and scans the back of the eye, detecting small changes, through the layers of the retina - this allows us to spot abnormalities up to 5 years before a traditional test. The OCT examination is completely non-invasive and painless.
About Raison
Raison Opticians is an independent family run practice, set up in 2013 by Brad and Libby Raison. They both studied Optometry at Cardiff university and after graduating in 2006 they moved to Cornwall. They married in Falmouth in 2012 and after their honeymoon decided to set up Raison Opticians.
Brad has been in Optics since he was young, having worked at his father's practice in Yorkshire since he was 14. Brad has worked all over the county as a locum optometrist before settling to work in Helston.His patience and care ensure that everyone is given the time required to meet their needs. With over 20 years experience in optics Libby started her Optical career as a Saturday girl at an opticians in Falmouth.
