Holborn School Of Motoring was established in 1965, we are the oldest independent driving school in central London. Over the years we have taught many thousands of people to drive safely, responsibly and confidently. We are well known and respected in our local community having taught up to three generations of the same families.

Holborn School of Motoring, or Scuola Guida Italiana as it is was first known was established in 1965 by two brothers, Valentino and Alessio Varani who have since sadly passed away. Their very first informal office was located in a cafe opposite St. Peter's Italian Church on Clerkenwell Road, this is where the instructors would meet their pupils over a cup of tea before the driving lesson.

Our instructors will design a personalised lesson plan for each individual pupil, giving them the skills needed to pass the practical driving test, whilst ensuring they become safe confident drivers. All our instructors are fully DVSA qualified and DBS checked, each with a minimum of ten years experience in driving tuition.

Holborn driving school, is the best of the best when it comes to learning how to drive my instructor Taj was amazing, we went at my pace and within no time at all I was up to speed and ready to take my test. I passed first time with 2 minors, Taj is by far the best instructor I have ever come across, I would not have passed without his patience, and years of experience.

You can apply for a provisional driving licence when you are 15 years and nine months old. However you can only start driving a car when you are 17. At 16 you can start riding a moped or a quad bike. The simplest, quickest and cheapest way to get a provisional licence is online at this link. Online applications cost 34.
