Services
Meet the Team
Report
Since 2008 Barton Veterinary Centre has expanded and developed and we are very proud of the team and care that we provide. We both care passionately about our work.

Clare has since gained her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) - this is a Masters level qualification awarded by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons after examination by The University of Liverpool Veterinary School and The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at The University of Edinburgh.
Consulting Room 1
Report
Our main consulting room is very spacious allowing us plenty of room for even the largest of patients (and it's family!) What happens in a consult? First we'll welcome you and your pet, then we'll have a chat about what's wrong.

Once we have an idea of your concerns we'll examine your pet thoroughly (this may involve listening, feeling, touching and looking closely at all parts of your pet) after we have found out what is wrong we'll explain our findings and explain what further tests or treatment is required.
Operating Theatre
Report
In here we do all the main surgery. Neutering (spays and castrates), lump removals, anal gland removal, orthopaedics, ear and eye procedures, biopsies, thyroid gland removal, gastrointestinal surgery and many more. It is an area which is kept bare except for essential equipment only, to ensure the room is kept as sterile as possible.
Isolation
Report
When we have a poorly animal with an infectious illness we use our other former police cell which is our isolation facility. This means it is possible to use 'barrier nursing' to ensure that we can prevent the spread of disease whilst also providing a quiet environment for the sickest of animals to recuperate.
