About us
Report
At Brookmans Park Osteopaths we are like a family, we opened in 1999 and some of us have been working together in the clinic for nearly 15 years. In 2006 we welcomed Julie and she started the Podiatry clinic. In 2019 we welcomed Jon and we now offer diagnostic ultrasound services. All our osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council, Chiropodists and Physiotherapist with the Health Professions Council.
Treatments
Report
Osteopaths know all about pain and treat more than just backs and necks! From toes to fingers, knees to wrists, we are trained to treat the whole body. The majority of our patients come to us for back and neck pain, but if pain is in your life, you need to talk to us because osteopathy might help you.
Low Back Pain
Report
The trouble with back pain is that it can do more than just give you a pain in the back! It can create difficulties with walking, sitting, bending and lifting. It can also be the cause of pain in the buttocks, groin or legs (commonly called sciatica). It can also be one of the effects of hip, knee and foot problems.
Sciatica
Report
This term sciatica applies to irritation of the sciatic nerve that supplies the leg. However, the term is often used to describe any pain in the leg, whatever the cause, whether it is related to circulation, pain referred from a back injury, trauma or nerve irritation. An osteopath can usually successfully identify and treat the most common causes of sciatica.
Sports Injuries
Report
Although exercise is an important part of a healthy lifestyle, sports injuries can affect men and women of all ages and abilities. Pain is often the result of localised swelling of tissue which creates pressure on nerves. An osteopath can diagnose the cause of the pain and take action to facilitate a speedy recovery.
