Services
Preschool Sessions
Structured learning programmes for children aged 12 months to 4 years following the Early Years Foundation Stage. Our two dedicated rooms cater for different developmental stages, with the Caterpillar Room for younger children and Butterfly Room for preschoolers preparing for school. Activities focus on key areas including phonics, mathematics, and creative development through play-based learning.
Breakfast Club
Early morning childcare from 7:45am to 8:45am offering nutritious breakfast options and supervised activities. Children receive a healthy start to their day with cereals, toast, and engaging play activities before transitioning to their appropriate learning environment for the school day.
After School Club
Extended childcare provision from 3:15pm to 5:30pm offering indoor and outdoor activities. Includes two nutritious snacks and supervised play for children aged 2 to 11 years, with transportation support to and from Shotley School available for convenience.
SEND Support
Specialist provision for children with special educational needs and disabilities, following the Graduated Approach of Assess, Plan, Do and Review. Our SENDCo works closely with families and external professionals to create individualised support plans, ensuring access to appropriate resources and developmental opportunities.
Outdoor Learning
Daily outdoor activities in purpose-built environments featuring mud kitchens, nature areas, and a hobbit house. Children engage in risk assessment through physical play while developing environmental awareness through exploration of natural surroundings and seasonal changes.

We operate Monday to Friday during term time, with breakfast club from 7:45-8:45am and after-school club until 5:30pm.

Kidzone SHOTLEY has done wonders to help my daughter learn and play. she has had a lot of support as she has grown up. I have never regretted moving her there from a previous place which just did not seem to understand children. Kidzone SHOTLEY has also ment my wife and I can go to work with the knowledge that our daughter is in the best place. Thanks kidzone.

My daughter started last January and I saw a transformation In her within weeks! She was learning a lot more had soo much to say and got on with the staff brilliantly! They made you feel welcome and they were there for the parents too not just the kiddies. Don't know why we didn't move her sooner! She's now started school but still sees them and talks about her time there x
