We would highly recommend David Gilkes - they moved us two days before Christmas, and the whole experience was stress free for us. They were efficient, friendly, patient and professional. They were also the most reasonable quote we received and worth every penny.

Last March, I enlisted the help of David Gilkes to remove my items from my student accommodation and store them over the summer break as I had to leave the country in a hurry due to Covid-19. In short, a good portion of my belongings went missing (worth at least 600, which is a significant amount for a student) and no liability was taken. Throughout the process of reporting the loss and filing a claim, I have been largely ignored, only getting a semi-satisfactory response when I sent them a strongly worded email. It has been almost 4 months and I have yet to receive any form of compensation.

My wife and I must praise all of the team from all in the office to the

We chose David Gilkes again for our house move - as it was undertaken so professionally three years ago, we had no hesitation in booking them again. Its a stressful day not knowing when keys are going to be available and vital info not coming through but the David Gilkes removal team took the stress out of the actual moving element. The team turned up promptly, as planned and got stuck in straight away. Rooms were becoming empty so quickly and two beds were dismantled (and reassembled in the new house upon arrival) and the whole process was so straight forward - which enabled our time to chase
