Bespoke Solid Wood Windows
Crafted in Devon since 1926, our solid wood windows blend traditional joinery with modern materials like Accoya for durability. Available in casement, sash, and stormproof styles, they comply with heritage regulations and include energy-efficient glazing options. Each window is tailored to client specifications, ensuring seamless integration with historical or contemporary properties.
Handmade Wooden Doors
From grand entrance doors to stable designs, our handmade wooden doors use hardwoods like oak and Accoya. Options include bi-fold, French, and ledged-and-braced styles with draught seals and security features. Each door is crafted in our workshop to match client visions, balancing aesthetics and functionality for residential and commercial spaces.
Custom Wood Staircases
We design and build bespoke staircases, including curved, straight, and winder styles, tailored to building regulations and client preferences. Materials range from oak to MDF, with options for glass balustrades or traditional spindles. Our team ensures precision fitting, whether as a full installation or supply-only service.
Heritage Joinery Refurbishment
Specialising in refurbishing historical joinery, we repair and restore windows, doors, and timber structures using reclaimed materials and traditional techniques. Our expertise includes replicating profiles from the 1680s and installing Fineo glazing to enhance thermal efficiency while preserving original design integrity.
Fineo Glazing Installation
Fineo glazing offers ultra-slim double glazing (6.7mm) with superior thermal efficiency (U-value 0.7 W/mK). Ideal for period homes, it maintains traditional aesthetics while improving insulation. We retrofit this technology into heritage windows, ensuring compliance with conservation standards without compromising design.

Graham and his team were outstanding from the first meeting to completion of our project. We have a small cottage with difficult access in Exmoor that had old doors and windows, which were anything but energy efficient. We had to replicate the windows exactly as we are in a National Park but wanted to make them double glazed to improve our energy consumption. Not only do the doors and windows look incredible, they are beautifully made with high quality materials, and are already saving us money on the heating bill :) The entire team is also lovely to work with, accommodating, respectful, and highly

I came to Haydons needing something made in hurry. The guys were so lovely and accommodating. Great to deal with and I felt they went above and beyond given it was only a 'little job. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautiful job too. Thank you.

I cannot praise Haydon and Sons highly enough. I had been trying to source some library bookcases for a long time and the after various meetings and designs, the work was commissioned. The resultant bookcases were far better than the drawings suggested and the quality of workmanship was formidable. They were made on time and installed beautifully. The craftsman who fitted them was exceptional and I intend to use the company again. I am absolutely delighted with the results and those who have seen them have been stunned by the quality.
