All of the accommodation area is centrally heated with fan air vents for your pet's comfort, throughout winter or summer. With en-suite patios to add to the comfort, we supply clean sanitised plastic beds in which we place the bedding supplied by you, for your pets comfort this is requirement for all dogs boarded unless you state otherwise for practical or medical reasons.

I collected my rescue from Birchwood. They not only took the time to issue photos but also cat tested my dogs reaction prior collection so i knew what to expect and what to have in place for when we brought him home.
We were very grateful for the care and help given. He wasnt just another dog in their kennels, he was respected as a member of our family before he had even been collected by us.

Critical: Responsiveness
I visited this kennel in january 2020 to book my dog in for a one week stay in june of that year, i paid a 50 pound deposit,come march covid 19 came and all trips away were cancelled, as we know ive made many phone calls...no answer ive written twice to find out if i can have my deposit back...no answer

My Airedale terrier Binky attends Birchwood kennels and the staff are very friendly and attentive to Binky. When she arrives she goes off wagging her tail and comes out looking happy and healthy, you can't ask for more than that.

Birchwood Boarding Kennel in Bexley; we’ve been customers since our dog was a pup (back in 2016). The care seems good & the service readily available. Unfortunately, they are a cash or check only business that won’t accept a bank transfer. They require a “pen and ink” form and a £50 deposit for each booking - usually necessitating a personal visit prior to each stay. They also bill for a whole day regardless of when you pick up or drop off, increasing the number of paid days by one day, compared to other “overnight” services like “Dog Buddy”. Friendly professional happy caring people who take great pleasure in looking after the dogs and cats and treat everyone of them as individuals. Can't praise them enough. Donny has been staying with them for the last 10 years and he is never unhappy about going in fact some times he is so excited about going we don't even get a goodbye.

Our dog passed away a month before he was booked in to stay here. I rang the kennels to cancel the booking and explained the reason. The member of staff I spoke to was very off hand, unsympathetic and clearly couldn't have cared less. I was left feeling upset and shocked. For a company supposed to be dog lovers they have no empathy for owners.

I put my dog in Birchwood kennels for the first time last weekend. While I was away for a few days. At first I was a little anxious.But once I had viewed it and spoke to a member of staff. I know it would be the best place for Roo. One the day of arrival I was taken with Roo by the owner to the kennel where he would be. She placed is bedding in his bed, along with an old t.shirt of mine and his toys. I phoned while away and got a lovely report about Roo playing with a tennis ball.
