Director, James Burrett DipFD, is a fully qualified Funeral Director, working in the funeral industry for the past 16 years and is assisted by an experienced team of staff. The business philosophy of Legacy Funeral Service is based on providing a personal, bespoke and efficient service to the community at a time of need.
Registering a death
Report
A death must be registered within 5 days of a death occurring in England and Wales - this includes weekends and bank holidays and must be registered in the subdistrict in which it has occurred. In cases where distance presents a problem. Arrangements can be made with a Registrar more local to you to register by declaration, however this may cause a delay before essential documentation for the funeral is available.

There are a number of reasons why this may happen. If there is a medical certificate, the doctor who signed this didn't see the deceased within 14 days before or after their death.

In some circumstances we will allow you to pay for a funeral over a period of time and we will advise you on any grants that may be available. It can be a lot cheaper than you think.

This service offers a basic but dignified direct cremation without a traditional funeral service, allowing you to plan a memorial that is unique to you and your loved one at a fraction of the cost of a traditional funeral. Unattended Cremation, collection and hand delivery of cremated remains to a private address.
