James is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and an RICS Registered Valuer. James started James Slater & Co almost 30 years ago and has established himself as one of the most respected authorities on the local vernacular architecture and the Cotswold property market. He is developing a satellite office covering Shropshire and Herefordshire.
Prior to joining us, James had a career in the RAF, then he joined the commercial surveying sector for Atkins in Bristol. James has experience looking after large complex projects and is currently acting as Project Manager for a number of large country estates. He has a particular interest in Historic buildings and relishes the challenges that they often pose.
