Mr Albert Henry Cheater, a former Chief Fire Officer in the town, first established the business and he was succeeded by Sam Fields. Peter Peace moved to Romsey in 1966 and carried out his duty as funeral director in the town with much dignity, care and professionalism for over 30 years. Simon and his son Michael Peace now look after the day to day running of the business.
Meet the Team

Simon has been involved in the profession for nearly 45 years and has a wealth of knowledge and experience. He has guided many families through their bereavement with his quiet and reassuring manner. Although still active within the business, Simon now spends some time tending to his animals on his farm.
Arranging a Funeral

Our task is to help create a ceremony which gives full value and importance to the wishes and beliefs of the family. It is important that instructions left by the deceased with regard to personal effects i.e. Wedding rings are observed. Every funeral is 'unique' in that it reflects the wishes of the family and takes place in different circumstances.
Funeral Expenses

The Peace family and their team have a vast knowledge and experience. They will use this to empower you to make informed choices. You will be given the time and guidance to make decisions that create a personal funeral, representing both yours and your loved one's wishes. Every funeral service is unique.
Chapel
Report
We have a garden chapel, at our premises in Romsey and can hold religious or non-religious services for a maximum of 20 people. An organist can be arranged to facilitate the singing of hymns or music but this will restrict numbers. Alternatively, recorded music (cd/mp3's) can be played during the service.
