As early as 1831, Thomas Grant Gore was involved in funerals. Funerals were especially complex in the early nineteenth century. From ducape scarves and gloves to truncheons and wands, providing mourning apparel for family members, coachmen, bearers and pages was part of our service. By the mid-nineteenth century, Thomas Gore and Job Gore had formed our family company, then known as Gore Brothers.
