Kim Betts & Co, formerly The Betts Partnership, was established in Islington in 1994. It rapidly expanded to three offices in 1997 and then merged to one large office in 1998. The contentious side of the business closed in 2000 due to the changes in legal aid. Kim Betts has been running the Loughton office since 1999 and it specialises in Conveyancing, Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney.
Kim Betts qualified as a solicitor in 1987. Her training contract was with a City firm of solicitors and she has experience of several other firms of solicitors in and around London before becoming self-employed. June specialises in probate and also does conveyancing within the practice and has a wealth of experience of non contentious work with other private law firms.

Conveyancing
Report
Conveyancing is the transfer of legal title of property from one person to another, or the granting of an encumbrance such as a mortgage or a lien. On average it takes between six to eight weeks from agreeing with somebody that you will buy or sell. It can however be done more quickly than that. You will always be invited to attend for one main meeting to go through your papers in person with Kim Betts in the office and to discuss any problems.
