Since its beginning in the early 1970's the name ROBERT DUNBAR BUTCHERS was one synonymous with personal service and the finest quality scotch beef, lamb and pork. In 1981 the business moved to larger premises and now with the involvement of EWEN DUNBAR the firm changed its name to R A DUNBAR & SON.
The larger purpose built location has allowed R.A DUNBAR & SON to develop into the bright, modern, welcoming shop that it is today. Complementing the butchers shop R.A DUNBAR & SON now incorporates its own in store bakery and delicatessen, where cooked meats, cheeses and a vast array of freshly baked pie and pastry products help to create a distinctly continental ambience.

All our beef is matured on the bone in our own chillers ensuring the perfect cut for you to enjoy. From Sirloin to Steak Mince we offer an extensive range of products.
Every Sausage, Burger, & Pudding sold is hand-made on our premises ensuring the best quality every time. Everyday favourites such as Slice Sausage sit side by side with our own delicious culinary creations including the Neilston Burger - finely seasoned premium Scotch beef sprinkled with locally grown herbs.
For nearly 20 years we've been traditionally dry-curing our own bacon to tantalise your taste buds. We guarantee our bacon contains no added water & artificial ingredients regularly found on supermarket shelves. Our chickens and chicken fillets are of the finest quality, and our breaded products are made to our own special recipe using the same high quality chicken.
