Rare Tea
Delicate and aromatic orange blossom from an organic orchard in the heart of Tarragona, Spain. Our aim is simple; to source and supply the world's best tea, directly from farmers and their tea gardens. We travel the world in search of unique tea gardens and the skilled men and woman who craft the finest tea - where each harvest captures the most delicious flavours that their particular corner of the world can offer.

We have been working directly with our farmers since 2004, building long-term relationships. We don't buy from brokers, middle-men or commodity markets. We keep the value of their tea with the people who make it. We support the 3 pillars of sustainability: environmental, economic and social. Our teas are grown without pesticides and herbicides.

Loose Leaf Tea
Report
Loose leaf tea is the only answer to truly sustainable tea. Teabags use precious natural resources for single use and often contain plastics, bleaches and glues. Even biodegradable tea bags must be processed using industrial chemicals to turn trees or corn into bags that first go into us and then into the bin.
Black Tea
Report
At Rare Tea Company our aim is to source the very best black tea in the UK and, indeed, the world. Since 2004 Henrietta Lovell, our founder and master blender has travelled the globe to find the finest loose leaf black tea that both tastes amazing and is sustainably grown, without pesticides and herbicides.
White Tea
Report
Loose leaf white tea is so good for you because it retains higher levels of antioxidants than other teas, undergoing no firing, rolling or manipulation of the natural leaf which has just been carefully dried. To compare white tea vs green tea, the main difference is that the flavours are far more delicate and ethereal.
